Meet Pastor Jake Roberts
Pastor Jake has been in pastoral ministry for 12 years, serving congregations in Maryland, California, and Oregon before coming to St. Paul’s UCC. Along the way he has also worked in finance and the nonprofit world, experiences that shaped his heart for serving people in every season of life.
He holds degrees from Olivet Nazarene University, Mount Vernon Nazarene University, and Luther Seminary, but he will be the first to tell you that some of his best education has come from the people he has been privileged to pastor.
Pastor Jake is married to Barbara Roberts, who is both an ICU nurse and a pastor herself, and together they are raising three girls. He is a proud girl dad who fully embraces everything that comes with it, from tea parties to ponytails. When he is not at church or with his family, you will probably find him at a CrossFit class or enjoying a good cup of coffee, sometimes both in the same morning.
