The cemetery board has scheduled a clean up day for Saturday, April 6th from 9-12. We are hoping everyone will pitch in to pick up sticks, branches, leaves. etc form the winter, as well as any old grave decorations. By scheduling this for Saturday 4/6, we hope to get out into the cemetery before the 2019 mowing season begins. If we get a large turnout and get all of the sticks picked up, it will save us the money of paying our lawn care service to do this task. The local DAR Chapter is kindly helping with this task as their service project, thank you. If anyone knows a student who needs to […]

Dear Friends of St Paul’s Cemetery,  The Cemetery Board of St. Paul’s wishes to thank you for your past support and also to seek your help as we kick off our second annual fund-raising appeal. Our 2017 goal for the fundraising drive was $10,000.  While we did not quite hit our goal, the $9,000. that was raised made it possible to cover all current expenses. We were fortunate that the weather cooperated and kept our grounds keeping costs within budget. St. Paul’s Cemetery is run as a separate entity from the church.  The current realities of declining plot sales and record-low […]

March 24, 2016 Dear Friends of St Paul’s Cemetery,  St Paul’s Cemetery in Monee has always been a place of quiet reflection and gentle repose. When I was a child I can remember walking hand in hand with my Dad as he told me the stories of the people who had come before us. It still feels good to visit the graves of family and friends and to take a few minutes in the quiet park-like atmosphere to reflect. When we come to lay flowers on the graves of our loved ones, and remember them, it is comforting to see […]
